Academic Search Complete – Academic Search Complete, is the world's largest scholarly, multi-disciplinary full text database containing full text for nearly 4,650 serials, including more than 3,600 peer-reviewed publications. This scholarly collection offers information in nearly every area of academic study including: computer sciences, engineering, physics, chemistry, language and linguistics, arts & literature, medical sciences, ethnic studies, and many more. Academic Search Premier is an enormous collection of the most valuable peer-reviewed full text journals, offering critical information from many sources unique to this database. PDF backfiles to 1975 or further are available for well over one hundred journals, and searchable cited references are provided for more than 1,000 titles. The majority of full text titles are available in native (searchable) PDF, or scanned-in-color.

Clinical Pharmacology is a condensed form of the database and contains current, concise and clinically-relevant drug monographs for all U.S. prescription drugs, hard-to-find herbal and nutritional supplements, over-the-counter products and new and investigational drugs. Drugs may be searched by their generic or brand names. Clinical Pharmacology is made up of Drug Monograph and Patient Education Records. Drug Monographs include description, mechanism of action, and pharmacokinetics. The full database is available on CD from Dr. Floriddia's office. (6-2538)

Health Source: Consumer Edition provides on many health topics including the medical sciences, food sciences and nutrition, childcare, sports medicine and general health.

Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition provides 600 scholarly full text journals focusing on many medical disciplines.

HighWire – Internet Imprint of the Stanford University Libraries, provides access to 626,056 full text articles from 345 HighWire-hosted journals including many in the biological science . Topic areas include developmental biology, genetics, physiology, plant biology and population biology.

IDIS - IDIS/Web is a database of index records to articles about drugs and drug therapy in humans taken from over 200 leading medical and pharmaceutical journals. The complete article is also available online (1997 through the current month). The system is designed to retrieve specific information concerning a drug and/or drug treatment of a disease state. Selected authoritative publications provide broad coverage of both general and specialty areas of pharmacy and medicine.

Ingenta – Ingenta is a general database covering a range of subject areas and topics. For those is a hurry, Ingenta offers full-text document delivery online or by fax when purchased using a credit card. Ingenta Library Services revolve around IngentaConnect , a comprehensive collection of over 29,500 publications including more than 8,000 available online.

International Pharmaceutical Abstracts - Provides information on all phases of the development and use of drugs and on professional pharmaceutical practice. The coverage includes state pharmacy journals that deal with state regulations, salaries, guidelines, manpower studies, laws, and more. The scope of the database ranges from the clinical, practical, and theoretical to the economic and scientific aspects of the literature. A unique feature of abstracts reporting clinical studies is the inclusion of the study design, number of patients, dosage, dosage forms, and dosage schedule.

Medline - Is the National Library of Medicine's premier bibliographic database covering the fields of medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, and the preclinical sciences.  MEDLINE contains bibliographic citations and author abstracts from more than 4,800 biomedical journals published in the United States and 70 other countries. The database contains over 12 million citations dating back to the mid 1960s.

PubMed - provides web access to MEDLINE citations and abstracts as well as:

• The out-of-scope citations (e.g., articles on plate tectonics or astrophysics) from certain MEDLINE journals, primarily general science and chemistry journals, for which the life sciences articles are indexed for MEDLINE.
• Citations that precede the date that a journal was selected for MEDLINE indexing.
• Some additional life science journals that submit full text to PubMedCentral and receive a qualitative review by NLM.

PubMed also includes links to many sites providing full-text articles and other resources.

ScienceDirect - access to over 1700 scientific, technical & medical peer-reviewed journals in various subject areas with many full-text articles. Currently the library has access to 4 subject areas: Medicine; Neuroscience; Chemistry; and Biochemistry, Genetics and Molecular Biology.

SCOPUS – Scopus is the largest abstract and citation database of research literature and quality web sources. It's designed to find the information scientists need. Quick, easy and comprehensive, Scopus provides superior support of the literature research process. Updated daily, Scopus offers 14,200 titles from 4,000 different publishers and over 12,850 academic journals. The database includes tools that give an at-a-glance overview of search results and refine them to the most relevant hits. Alerts to keep you up-to-date on new articles matching your search query, or by favorite author.

STAT!Ref - is an electronic collection of 26 of the top handbooks in medicine from AHFS Drug Information (a source particularly useful to pharmacy students) to Williams Obstetrics. All books are fully searchable by keyword both individually and collectively.

Wiley InterScience features 1,000 journals, major reference works, online books, Current Protocols laboratory manuals and provides access to full text articles from over 120 journals including. Journals cover topics such as Biology (15 titles), Biological Anthropology (7 titles), Biotechnology (6 titles) and General Life Sciences (37 titles),

SciFinder Scholar - Allows users to search Chemical Abstracts, which includes chemistry-related articles from more than 40,000 scientific journals, in addition to patents, conference proceedings and other documents pertinent to chemistry, life sciences and many other fields. In total, abstracts for more than 23 million documents are accessible online.

Therapeutic Research Center Databases - The Natural Medicines Comprehensive Database provides information on a variety of natural medicines including herbal treatments. Scientific and common names are provided as well as safety information, adverse reactions, interactions with prescription and natural medicines, and mechanisms of action.
