Academic Search Complete – Academic Search Complete, is the world's largest scholarly, multi-disciplinary full text database containing full text for nearly 4,650 serials, including more than 3,600 peer-reviewed publications. This scholarly collection offers information in nearly every area of academic study including: computer sciences, engineering, physics, chemistry, language and linguistics, arts & literature, medical sciences, ethnic studies, and many more. Academic Search Premier is an enormous collection of the most valuable peer-reviewed full text journals, offering critical information from many sources unique to this database. PDF backfiles to 1975 or further are available for well over one hundred journals, and searchable cited references are provided for more than 1,000 titles. The majority of full text titles are available in native (searchable) PDF, or scanned-in-color.
AGRICOLA, (AGRICulturalOnLineAccess) is a bibliographic database of citations to the agricultural literature created by the National Agricultural Library (NAL) and its cooperators. The records describe publications and resources encompassing all aspects of agriculture and allied disciplines, including animal and veterinary sciences, entomology, plant sciences, forestry, aquaculture and fisheries, farming and farming systems, agricultural economics, extension and education, food and human nutrition, and earth and environmental sciences.
Biological Abstracts – Biological Abstracts produced by BIOSIS, is a complete collection of bibliographic references covering life science and biomedical research literature published from more than 4,000 journals internationally. This database provides users with easy access to the latest information in virtually every life science discipline. Biological Abstracts contains nearly 7.7 million archival records from as far back as 1969, with more than 370,000 citations added each year. Comprehensive coverage and context-sensitive indexing make the information in Biological Abstracts essential for all life sciences researchers. It directs users to information on life science topics from botany to microbiology to pharmacology, serving to connect researchers with critical journal coverage. 90% of new citations include an abstract by the author.
BioOne - is a "uniquely valuable aggregation of the full-texts of high-impact bioscience research journals." BioOne offers html or pdf files copies of articles from over 65 journals. Many of these journals are unique and have never been offer in an online before. The database focuses on the biological, ecological and environmental sciences.
Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition provides 600 scholarly full text journals focusing on many medical disciplines.
HighWire – Internet Imprint of the Stanford University Libraries, provides access to 626,056 full text articles from 345 HighWire-hosted journals including many in the biological science . Topic areas include developmental biology, genetics, physiology, plant biology and population biology.
Ingenta – Ingenta is a general database covering a range of subject areas and topics. For those is a hurry, Ingenta offers full-text document delivery online or by fax when purchased using a credit card. Ingenta Library Services revolve around IngentaConnect , a comprehensive collection of over 29,500 publications including more than 8,000 available online.
Medline - Is the National Library of Medicine's premier bibliographic database covering the fields of medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, and the preclinical sciences. MEDLINE contains bibliographic citations and author abstracts from more than 4,800 biomedical journals published in the United States and 70 other countries. The database contains over 12 million citations dating back to the mid 1960s.
PubMed - provides web access to MEDLINE citations and abstracts as well as:
PubMed also includes links to many sites providing full-text articles and other resources.
ScienceDirect - access to over 1700 scientific, technical & medical peer-reviewed journals in various subject areas with many full-text articles. Currently the library has access to 4 subject areas: Medicine; Neuroscience; Chemistry; and Biochemistry, Genetics and Molecular Biology.
SCOPUS – Scopus is the largest abstract and citation database of research literature and quality web sources. It's designed to find the information scientists need. Quick, easy and comprehensive, Scopus provides superior support of the literature research process. Updated daily, Scopus offers 14,200 titles from 4,000 different publishers and over 12,850 academic journals. The database includes tools that give an at-a-glance overview of search results and refine them to the most relevant hits. Wiley InterScience features 1,000 journals, major reference works, online books, Current Protocols laboratory manuals and provides access to full text articles from over 120 journals including. Journals cover topics such as Biology (15 titles), Biological Anthropology (7 titles), Biotechnology (6 titles) and General Life Sciences (37 titles),
