  • Association of Technology in Music Instruction (ATMI)
  • MENC - Home page for the Music Educators National Conference. Includes information on MENC, state Music Education Associations, the MENC Job Center, classroom resources, industry contacts, meetings and conferences, and more.
  • Music Teachers National Association - Information about their organization, conferences, professional resources, etc.
  • Organization of American Kodály Educators - Provides information about the organization and its publications, training institutions, employment opportunities, and links to related sites on the Internet.
  • Suzuki Method WWW Network - Provides links to directories, information about Suzuki methods and teachers, and resources for teachers.

Searching by Subject

Search by subject to find items about a specific topic when you don't have a specific author or title.  Subject searching is also useful when browsing for music for specific instruments, ensembles, or genres (e.g. sonatas, symphonies, operas, etc.) when the composer or title is not known.

1. To find items in the library, go to PacifiCat, and select Advanced Searches .
2. Select the Format and/or Material Type you are looking for.
3. Under Field to Search: choose Subject .
4. Under Words adjacent? click Yes: .
5. Enter search term(s) from the following list in the first blank box:
