Literature Review

The research literature you collect on your topic culminates in your literature review.  In order to gain a sense of how it is written, you can help yourself by examining those previously written by experts in the field.  Two of the main examples in the field of education are publications called Review of Research in Education and the Review of Educational Research published by the American Educational Research Association. Databases

At one time or another, all of you have searched a library’s electronic resources, also called databases, or have used the Internet with various search engines, such as Google.  Most, if not all, have had experience using ERIC, the Education Resources Information Center.  Since your topics are related to education in some way, this is the most natural place to begin.  However, it is not the only resource to use.  The following information highlights the key resources used by someone pursuing a Masters in Education or Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Administration and Leadership, or Educational and School Psychology.
