Hours & Location || Computing Resources || Printing Solutions

Welcome

The University of the Pacific employs knowledgeable students to work in the Library’s Information Commons. These employees are dedicated to helping others solve any computer related problems they may be facing. The students on staff will promptly provide an answer to any question.  If that is not possible, they will search for a solution until one is found.

The IC Assistant Staff is available any time the library is open. In addition, the Reference Librarians are available for a large majority of the Library’s hours. IC Assistants and Reference Librarians are available to answer questions regarding the hardware and software in the IC. In addition, they can field reference-related questions concerning location of books, statistics, journals and our online databases and journals.

Visitors Policy

Use of the computers in the Information Commons is restricted to current University faculty, staff and students.

Visitors are expected to respect and obey the rules of the Library while maintaining a quiet atmosphere conducive to studying. Patrons who do not comply with the library’s rules will be asked to leave. For a more complete list of guidelines, please see the Library's complete Visitors Policy.

Reminders

The following are a few reminders to help keep both the Information Commons and the Library effective studying environments.

  • If you must speak to others, please speak softly.
  • Make sure your cell phone ringer is on vibrate.
  • Food is only allowed in the Cafe area.
  • Beverages are allowed only when brought in sealable containers.
