Reproduction - The staff reserves the right to prohibit reproduction if doing so would endanger the material.
Photocopies
20 cents per page for any manuscript material.
10 cents per page for non-manuscript material.
$10 per hour for large photocopy orders.
Personal cameras
Cameras may be used provided that no flash is used and that each image captured is documented on a signed “Reproduction Request Form.” Use of the images beyond personal research requires publication fees.
Personal scanners are not allowed.
Professionally scanned photograph reproduction
$25 per scanned images delivered at 300 dpi, JPG or TIFF, 100% of original size.
Audio or video dubbing or recording
$25 per videotape, audiocassette, DVD, or CD presentation transferred to appropriate format.
Permission to Publish
Western Americana, University Archives, or Brubeck Collection
$25 per image of photographs or other materials
$10 per minute of audio or video
Commercial use (e.g. Advertising) will require additional charges

John Muir Papers

of photographs or sketches

drawings from Series Four
Up to 300
words from the John Muir Papers may be published at no charge. $50 for each increment of 300
words of quoted text or portion thereof beyond the first 300, either combined in a single passage
or scattered in selected quotations.
Commercial
use (e.g. advertising) will require additional charges.
