Responsibilities

As the Sciences Librarian I am responsible for materials relating used by the Biology and the Chemistry programs in the College of the Pacific in addition to programs related to Dental Hygiene, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy and Speech Language Pathology. I work with the faculty in these departments to ensure the Library’s collection supports the curriculum used in their classes. I also provide research support and instruction to classes, small groups and individuals.

My office is located in the Health Sciences Library (HSL) in the Long Pharmacy Building (campus map), however I can often be found at the Main Library. So while I welcome anyone to drop by my office, I recommend that you call or e-mail me and I will be happy to set up an appointment at the HSL, Main Library, or any convenient meeting place.

I am interested in continuing education and instruction for faculty as well as the use of citation analysis to evaluate scholarship, especially in the chemical or pharmaceutical sciences.

If you are faculty, I can:

  • Provide library instruction in your classes or one-to-one reference with your students
  • Work with you to provide materials to support your research and coursework
  • Help with research
  • Assist you in any other way with using the library's resources

If you are a student, I can:

  • Help with you with any stage of your research
  • Work with you to find and provide materials to support your research
  • Assist you in any other way with using the library's resources
