Renovation Update: Summer 2006

Martin Wing main floor is complete; Library entrance moved to Brubeck Way for summer

The Library would like to invite the campus community to visit and take a tour of the newly renovated Martin Wing on the main floor.  The circulation desk and music and audiovisual collections are now located in this area.  There are four additional group study rooms, a new listening room and a viewing room. Furnishings and equipment will be moved into this area over the summer.

As we have completed this phase of renovation and are entering another, however, we have established a new, temporary entrance for the Library on Dave Brubeck Way. This entrance will be our “front door” all summer long, or until renovation of the Wood Hall main floor area of the Library is complete. The regular entrance on Atchley Way (near the fountain) has been closed for the summer.

In the fall, students will be able to enjoy a renovated lobby area and new café/snack area. Thank you for your patience as we continue the Library’s expansion and renovation project.
