Library Associates

Purpose

The purpose of the Associates of the University Library is:

To stimulate a greater awareness of the Library’ importance to the development of the University of the Pacific and the community at large;
To encourage gifts, endowments, collections, books, and other appropriate items for the Library;
To raise funds to acquire special equipment, books, and other appropriate items for the Library; and
To sponsor programs designed to add to the cultural life of the University and the community at large through the presence of the Library in this area and the various benefits resulting therefrom.

Current Projects

The Associates have committed themselves to the following ambitious and important projects on behalf of the University Library and the faculty, staff and students at Pacific, and encourage your active financial assistance:

Raise $25,000 to name a group study room as a gift to the Library’s expansion and renovation project; $5,000 has already been donated; $20,000 remains to be donated
Fund the McNaughton Leisure Reading Collection at $2,000/year
Sponsor two $500 awards annually for library student employees

Joining the Associates of the University Library

Membership levels range from $15 for individual membership to $500 for life members.
